Cobholm Miniatures have a fantastic 3D model aerial view of Great Yarmouth, as it was in the early 1950s, on display in their shop at 14 Broad Row.

The model, which measures 5 feet by 2 feet 6 inches, was created by local model maker Chris Bassham to a scale of 1:2500, taking some three years and an estimated 4,000 hours to build.

This wonderfully detailed model has now been acquired by Roger Silver of Cobholm Miniatures which stocks a large range of local history books and photographs, as well as locally hand crafted gifts. The shop is well worth a visit and is open every Wednesday to Saturday 10am and 4pm.
